Through the work of trained and educated youth development professionals and program specialists, as well as dedicated volunteers and support staff, Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany is committed to helping youth reach their full potential.

Our Story

For nearly 60 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany has formed the bedrock of thousands of young people’s path to success. Along their journeys, the dedicated professional staff at our Clubs have been there to guide and shape our future leaders.

The Clubs have helped countless young people learn and practice skills, attitudes, and behaviors that have allowed them to persevere in the face of obstacles and what many would consider impossible odds. Inside each Club you will find hundreds of curious minds tackling new challenges, budding artists discovering their creativity, enthusiastic athletes channeling their energy, and highly engaging teens making strides to graduate from high school with plans to go to college, vocational school, the military or the world of work, PREPARED AND READY to meet the challenges of the 21st Century.

Our Community Impact

Each year, Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany serves nearly 3,000 youth ages 6-18 through membership, programs, activities, and outreach. With nine Club sites throughout southwest Georgia, our local Clubs provide services to youth during critical out-of-school hours. Staff spend this time instilling into young people important values, such as the importance of a good education, the benefits of leading a healthy lifestyle, and the pride associated with serving within the community. In essence, Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany teach youth to become productive, caring, responsible citizens.

There are several local organizations that open their doors for young people. However, when youth walk through the doors of a Boys & Girls Club of Albany facility, their lives are transformed. Recent data from our members show that:
