Please note we will limit capacity this school year to 60 youth per site, to ensure the safety of members and staff. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

K-8th After-School Program Application

Thank you for your interest in Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany 2020 after-school program. Our limited capacity in-person program will operate from 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday- Friday, at two of our Club locations:

  1. Jane Willson Unit for youth in grades K-8th: REGISTRATION IS OPEN!!!
  2. The Club at Thornton Park for youth in grades K-8th: REGISTRATION IS OPEN!!!

The after-school program will begin on September 9th, The cost of attendance is $50 per child, every two weeks.

Please complete our online application to reserve your spot! Before submitting your application, please be sure to read, complete, and sign each section entirely. Failure to sign the application, special after-school program acknowledgment, and COVID-19 forms will result in delays in processing your application.

K-8th After-School Program Application

For your application to be processed and marked complete, you must submit:

  1. Documents for income eligibility verification (if applicable).
  2. Most recent award letter if you receive TANF, SNAP, Medicaid, Peachcare for Kids, or SSI. If you receive more than one benefit, only check one box and provide proof of benefit.
  3. If you do not receive any benefits please complete section 3-5 on the DFCS Afterschool Eligibility form

NOTE: If answers to all questions in section 2 is No, the parent/guardian must complete section 3-5 for eligibility determination. Verification for items in sections 3 & 4 must be provided and a copy of verification is required.

Verification and other supporting documentation can be sent via email to marnold@bgcalbany.org. Applications are not considered complete until we receive all supporting documentation.

*On the first day of the after-school program, please bring your child(ren) insurance card(s) and present it to the Unit Director onsite.

*On Wednesday, September 2, 2020, there will be a MANDATORY virtual parent orientation to review program protocols, parent and member expectations, and safety measures. Two sessions will be available: 12:00 – 1:00 PM and 6:00 – 7:00 PM. Please plan to attend one of the scheduled sessions to ensure your child is ready for September 9th.
